Firstly the good news: we have recently been fundraising to help build a second classroom, like this one for the Lindelani creche and baby centre. We have just sent over a lump sum which could almost pay for a second classroom.
In particular, thank you to the Finance team from the Equality and Human Rights Commission who made a big contribution over Christmas as well as to those people who have set up standing orders to contribute monthly. £5 might only buy you 2 Starbucks lattes, but it buys a whole deal more in South Africa!

If anyone else would like to set up a standing order or make a donation, please contact me by emailing me at childrenofafrica@hotmail.co.uk or make a donation to “Children of Africa” charity online at www.cafonline.org.
The baby centre has a new outdoor play area:
There is a little more grass than there was 3 months ago …
I just love the kids here. I know you shouldn’t have favourites, but who can’t fall in love with this face?
These two were chuffed to bits to be watching themselves on video!
All the children are fed here, which ensures that they are properly nourished. Often when the babies first arrive they are quite neglected and hungry.
But, their weights have been tracked and the baby scale we donated has come in quite handy to show that they have put on weight and are much healthier now.

hi,
I moved back to SA a we after living a long time overseas, where the pastures where said to be so green….aren't so after all….and brought with me my french hubby who fell in love with the country and the people….so much so, that we named our little bond boy LINDELANI. Noone understands why (should listen to Miriam Makeba's song)but we are very proud to do our bit to change the country by pushing boundaries and giving to this white child an African name so that he will always remember that Africa runs through his veins. Anyhow, I typed Lindelani bby mistake on ggogle and ended up on you website and of course am interested by the Kids home you are setting up. Could we have more details? Where is it? What can be done (am fed up of only sending money, want to DO something, give my TIME). Thanks, Zareena
